Our story

Empowering women's economic growth

Wealth Trust is a nonprofit organisation in Freetown, Sierra Leone, focused on transforming the economic landscape through education and empowerment.

Talent and determination are not what hold women entrepreneurs back. What's missing is access to the knowledge that protects and grows a business: how to manage money, how to save safely, how to register a company and understand a contract. We close that gap.

We provide the knowledge and confidence women need to lead, grow and contribute meaningfully to their communities. So far we have reached 3,000 women through our trainings and community projects.

Our mission & vision

A future where women in Sierra Leone are economically empowered, financially knowledgeable and actively contributing to their communities through leadership and entrepreneurship.

Our mission

To empower Sierra Leonean women entrepreneurs by providing them with the legal awareness, financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills needed to thrive in a competitive global economy.

How we deliver it

  • Financial literacy programmes for informed economic decision-making
  • Practical skill training that builds income and confidence
  • The Super Iron Box, an insurance-backed savings system
  • Corporate law and governance awareness to protect women's businesses
  • Monthly leadership and community development with women-led micro, small and medium businesses

Our values

Seven principles shape every training we run and every partnership we enter.

01

Empowerment

We build women's own capacity to decide, earn and lead.

02

Integrity

We act ethically and honour the trust women and donors place in us.

03

Inclusion

Our doors are open to women from every community and background.

04

Accountability

We comply with Sierra Leonean regulations and international standards.

05

Learning

Knowledge is the foundation of lasting economic independence.

06

Community

Progress is stronger when women act together and share what they know.

07

Sustainability

We build skills and savings habits that last beyond any single workshop.
